Indianapolis 500 Oldtimers events

 

RECOGNITION DINNER

Mailings for the annual Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame and Indianapolis 500 Oldtimers Special Recognition Dinner scheduled for Thursday, May 27 were mailed in early March. At this time, the COVID POLICY for the Marriott allows only for four people per table, which means seating will be limited this year. Reservations orders will be filled on a first-received basis. For those who might be concerned regarding the crowded cocktail hour, the hotel is making more space available for our use for this portion of our dinner, and the tables will be spread out in the ballroom — hence the need for limited seating. We are hoping the COVID policy will change by May and everyone who wants to attend will be able to. We will keep you informed, so keep checking this website page.

ANNUAL BBQ

We have been asked to hold our BBQ on Tuesday, May 25. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. Dinner will be at 5 p.m. with our program to follow. This year we will be honoring both the 2020 and 2021 recipients of our annual awards. At this time the COVID policy will limit the number of people per table to four, although we are hoping by the end of May this may be lifted.

LADIES LUNCHEON

The Ladies will be holding their gathering on Tuesday afternoon, May 25. This will be on the same day as the American Dairy’s Rookie Luncheon, so check the signs on the day of the lunch to make sure which chalet your luncheon is being held. Check with Suzanna Stapp for further details.
